626 MOTHERBOARD CMOS SETTINGS
We are now using an improved motherboard at Coastal Amusements
to replace the 531, 630 and 623 motherboards in our games. The 626 motherboard
will have our BIOS settings as the default. Please carry out the following procedure
in the event that your 626 motherboard equipped game should lose its CMOS settings.
This should only happen if the motherboard battery fails or is knocked loose,
installing the jumper on the board closest to the battery incorrectly would
also cause this to occur.
- With your machine powered down, attach a standard PS/2 keyboard to
the violet port on the rear of the motherboard.
- Power up the unit and hold down the delete key to enter the BIOS
settings page.
- Using the arrow keys on the keyboard scroll to the “Load Standard
Defaults” field.
- Hit the enter key, a prompt box will open saying, “load standard
defaults? n”.
- Type the letter “Y” in place of the “N” and
hit the enter key.
- Now check that the settings are loaded by using the arrow keys to
highlight the field that says “standard cmos features” hit the enter
key.
- Next to the “halt on” field it should say “all
but keyboard” if this is what you see then the settings have been loaded.
- Hit the esc. key ONCE.
- Hit the F10 key.
- Type the letter “y”.
- Hit the enter key.
- Your machine should now reboot normally. After the machine is working
properly power it down and disconnect the keyboard.
